The Brief
Nestlé Waters wanted to build a presence for Maison Perrier sparkling water (unflavoured, lime, grapefruit and blackberry) among professionals rather than general consumers, so the focus stayed on the workplace rather than wider retail sampling. Fashion, beauty and interior design companies across Los Angeles, New York and Miami were the priority, chosen for being creative, image-conscious industries where a premium product would feel like a natural fit rather than an add-on.
The Solution
We sent 60,000 units across 197 companies in the three target cities, covering all four flavours so recipients could find one they liked rather than being handed a single, possibly unwanted option. Because the brief was about reaching professionals specifically, targeting stayed office-based throughout rather than opening it up to public or consumer sampling.
The Results
16.09% of people who received a sample completed the follow-up questionnaire. Of those, 53% rated the product very good and a further 30% rated it good, so the large majority responded positively.
The research also gave Maison Perrier some useful behavioural detail: 72% identified a clear ideal time of day to drink it, and 61% said they mostly drink it on the go, both useful signals for how the brand could shape future messaging or packaging.
Keeping the campaign strictly professional, rather than opening it to general consumers, matched the product to an audience already primed to see it as a premium, considered choice. The feedback backs that up: people weren't just reacting to the taste, they were describing how it fit into their day and image, which is exactly the kind of response a premium brand needs to build from.
Testimonials
I felt real fancy drinking sparkling water. I found it refreshing and can see myself drinking it again.
Love the limited ingredients and lack of artificial sugars.
Perhaps a mango flavor will appeal to summer crowds as well.
